“My husband, two sons and I stayed at O’Leary’s Farmhouse B & B for the August Bank Holiday weekend, and were greeted with a very warm welcome by the proprietors, Philomena and Gabriel. Beautiful rooms with great sea view, extensive breakfast menu, including beautifully cooked full Irish breakfast. The ‘Sunny South East’ didn’t let us down with it’s reputation of having the sunniest weather in our little country and we had a wonderful weekend walking the beaches and being shown around the farm by Gabriel (they even acquired a new-born lamb and calf – and two ducks – during our stay!). Great excitement.! I would highly recommend O’Leary’s B & B as a beautiful haven of retreat, but still close enough to all the amenities that Rosslaire, Wexford town and surrounding areas have to offer for a restful, yet very interesting, break away.. Thank you Phil and Gabriel for looking after us so well and making us feel very welcome indeed! We’ll be back!”
“We returned to O’ Learys Farm again for a night before catching the ferry to Pembroke. As usual the accommodation was clean and spacious, Mrs O’ Leary is a fanastic host, doing everything to welcome us and making our too short stay thoroughly enjoyable. The welcome tray on arrival was great, the breakfast amazing, and for both she was able to cope with my wife’s (dairy intolerance) special diet delightfully – and this was a farm B & B – not just omitting elements that would make her ill but substituting appetising alternatives!”
“Lovely old farmhouse in beautiful condition. Friendly, helpful hostess Phil. Beautiful contryside. Great breakfast. What more could we ask?”
“…had the pleasure to stay at O’ Leary’s Farm in May 2011. I was made to feel very welcome, and was given plenty of tea and some cake on arrival, which was very much appreciated. The quality of the room was better than many 4-star hotels I’ve stayed in on business trips….very comfortable, and spotlessly clean. I slept wonderfully, and woke to a lovely and generous full Irish breakfast. If you are in Rosslare area, I cannot recommend this B&B strongly enough, and hope to return again.”
“Stayed here primarily because of it’s close proximity to Rosslare harbour – eternally grateful that we did so. Fishguard ferry only arrives at about 6.30 pm, so not really time to go anywhere much further on arrival. Hence we rather opted to stay here, relax and explore the local village/coast as a gentle and untiring introduction to Ireland (our first visit). We love the quiet countryside and farm environs rather than town/city places – O’Leary’s had it all +++! Lovely spring flowers growing wild, and of course the lambs, donkeys and calves (we have now been introduced to Belted Galloway Cattle – impressive…).”
“Everything we wanted in a B&B and more”
“The bed was SO comfortable and the linens and blankets were cozy and fresh. The bathroom was quite large and bright, spotlessly clean! Breakfast was amazing and the service made us feel special and well-cared for. I am so sorry I only got the one photo of the sea out from our bedroom window. The place is really charming, and we unfortunately arrived late and had to leave early. I so wish there had been time to sit in the parlor and just read or relax. Phil and Gabriel are lovely people and it was so nice that they took the time to chat with us for a while before we left. A really pretty and picturesque setting overlooking the sea. Very Romantic”
“After a trip to Tipperary staying in O’Learys was fab. My mum, husband and I stayed with our two dogs and to be honest wished we stayed for an additional day. So we have decided next year we will be going back for a few days as its well worth it!!”
